Akshat Dave
Biography
Akshat Dave is a final year Ph.D. candidate in the Computational Imaging Lab at Rice University, advised by Ashok Veeraraghavan. He is interested in co-designing cameras and algorithms that exploit unique properties of light to solve physics-based inverse problems. His research includes non-line-of-sight imaging using ultrafast time-of-flight cameras and appearance decomposition using polarization cameras. During his Ph.D., he has worked as a visiting researcher at MIT Media Lab and as a research intern at Adobe Research. Akshat’s research have been recognised with Texas Instruments Fellowship, D2K Research Mentoring Fellowship and Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship.
