Biography
Wei Yang is an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he also co-directs the HUST Media Lab. His research is primarily focused on imaging, graphics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence. Before joining HUST, he was part of Google's ATAP division in Mountain View, USA, where he collaborated on advanced sensing and on-device intelligence projects. Prior to this, Yang was a Principal Scientist at DGene, US, working on real-time volumetric human capture systems. He earned his degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, engaging in significant research in computational photography and scene understanding under Professor Jingyi Yu.
