Theodore Kim
Biography
Theodore Kim is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Yale University. He conducts research in simulating physics-based phenomena, spanning both fluid and non-linear solid mechanics. In particular, he focuses on smoke, fire, water, flesh, muscle, and skin. He has additional experience in geometry processing, in particular in parametric distortion minimization, as well as fractal shape generation. As a former Senior Research Scientist at Pixar Animation Studios, he also has experience on the production side of the film industry. He received a Scientific and Technical Academy Award in 2012.
