Biography
I am a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe Research. I received my Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2012 under the supervision of Hanspeter Pfister and my Masters in 2006 from Columbia University under the supervision of Ravi Ramamoorthi. My research interests lie at the intersection of graphics, computer vision and machine learning; in particular, my work focuses on estimating different aspects of visual appearance in images and videos---illumination, geometry, reflectance, color, texture, motion, etc.---and building tools that enable users to edit and enhance them. My recent work has focused on combining deep learning and physics-based approaches for neural/inverse rendering problems including lighting estimation, reflectance capture, image relighting and novel view synthesis, and face reconstruction and editing.
