Patternshop: Editing Point Patterns by Image Manipulation
DescriptionOur core idea is to convert point patterns into an off-the-shelf, three-channel raster image. We use the 𝐶𝐼𝐸𝐿𝐴𝐵 color space to encode density that has one-dimensional luminance (L) and two-dimensional chroma (AB) as correlation. The resulting images can be manipulated, harnessing all the power of typical raster image editing software.
