ViP-NeRF: Visibility Prior for Sparse Input Neural Radiance Fields
DescriptionThe performance of neural radiance fields (NeRF) in novel view synthesis degrades significantly when sparse input images are available. We regularize the NeRF training using a prior on the visibility of pixels in input frames. We use plane sweep volumes to compute the visibility prior without any pre-training. Our model achieves state-of-the-art performance in sparse input, novel view synthesis.
