Richard Marks (E/L)
Richard Marks is a professor at UNC Chapel Hill. His research interests include XR, context understanding, generative AI, and data science. Most recently, Marks was a Director and Technical Project Lead for Google ATAP, exploring new interaction approaches for ambient computing environments. Previously, he founded the PlayStation Magic Lab and helped create the EyeToy, PlayStation Eye, PlayStation Move, and PlayStation VR.

Marks received a Bachelor of Science in Avionics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate from Stanford University exploring visual sensing for underwater robots.
