Prof. Dr. Michitaka Hirose is a professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo and a project researcher at Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from the Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, in 1979 and 1982, respectively. He is in a position of leadership at the Japanese Virtual Reality Research Community, and had been a primary investigator of several international and national research and development projects.
