Biography
Michael Cole has focused his career on studying how cognitive and behavioral science impacts the delivery of acute, emergent patient care by healthcare teams. Michael is Emergency Medicine faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School where he has leadership roles in medical education and has developed innovative curricula and instructional methods aimed at providing a more engaging and impactful experience for learners. His research interests include: using biosensors and NLP to inform multimodal learning and analytics; employing XR technology in health professions education and bedside clinical care; and studying factors impacting the performance of interprofessional healthcare teams in acute care environments.
