After finishing his Fine Arts degree in Australia, Pav Grochola saw a future in creatively using computers. He started in commercials, then moved to London where he spent 5 years at Double Negative, specializing in effects animation and working on several of the Harry Potter films. He has since worked on 30 feature films and received numerous awards. He won an Annie for his effects work on Edge of Tomorrow, and in 2019 he won a VES award for co-FX-supervision of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He lives in Los Angeles where he works as an FX supervisor at Sony Imageworks.
