Gillian Roper received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from McGill University, Canada. Gillian currently works as a Senior Systems Administrator supporting the HPC cluster at the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science (Concordia University). A lifelong learner focused on celebrating human diversity and demystifying technology, Gillian is currently studying Digital Filmmaking at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Her research areas of interest are leveraging Slurm to improve HPC resource management and film rendering and encoding.
