Michael J. Masucci
Biography
Michael J. Masucci is an award-winning experimental media producer, video-artist, writer, curator, educator and musician. Masucci was a founding member of the video art group and gallery space EZTV, and with computer art historian Patric Prince, created among the world’s first art galleries for digital art. Michael submitted this piece for the creators. "Larger Than Life" (1985) incorporated early motion-capture techniques, and was a project by then UCLA engineering / design student Dave Curlender and UCLA Chemistry and Biochemistry graduate student David S. Goodsell, using the department's Evans and Sutherland Multi-Picture System. Premiered to the public at "On the Threshold"
