Biography
Fanni Fazakas is an Unreal Engine Technical Artist, Director and founder of Budapest-based digital artist collective RUMEXR. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the MDT program at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

She holds a double bachelor's degree in media design and interactive game design. She has ten years of experience in projects ranging from art direction and interaction design for clients such as AT&T, Google, WWF and UNHCR. After obtaining her diploma from New York University ITP Program in 2019 her focus turned towards immersive technologies. She is the lead creative and director of Missing 10 Hours VR - a multi-ending non-fiction Virtual Reality project about GHB the rape-date drug and the Bystander Effect.

As a storyteller and researcher who believes in social justice and equality, she investigates how real-time applications and motion capture and immersive mediums can be effectively used in edutainment and art practices to achieve a long-term impact.
