Dr. Shigeo Morishima received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, all in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1982, 1984, and 1987, respectively. Currently, he is a professor of Pure and Applied Physics Department, Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, Waseda University.
He was a former general chair of ACM VRST2018, VR/AR adviser of SIGGRAPH ASIA 2018 and Program Chair of ACM VRST 2019. He is a general chair of Pacific Graphics 2022. He received CG Japan Award from the society of Art and Science in 2020. He received IBM Academic Award in 2021.
