Biography
1984, 1985, &1986 early examples of implicit modelling, iso surfaces, rudimentary solid textures, animated particle systems, and speech synthesis via phonemes that drove Fred Parke's face model to lip-sync to speech. Rendered in a scanline renderer written in C, executed on a Digital Equipment Corp. VAX 11/780 (AFAIR), displayed on a Raster Tech frame buffer, and captured with a film camera pointed at the screen overnight.
