Roy Weinstock retired in 2019 from WRC-TV NBC, Washington DC where he spent a decade as Field Photographer and Online Editor for news. His career in visual effects goes all the way back to 1973 when he started learning Scanimate at Computer Image in Denver, and became Senior Animator at Image West in Hollywood. He worked at Editel Hollywood animating with the Computer Image System IV. He submitted this reel from that time period (1983-1984) from Editel, when he worked with Ed Kramer, Terry Craig and Scott Gorsline using the System IV, a hybrid analog system with a digital front-end.
