Yuji Moroto is a 3rd-year Ph.D. student at the Interactive Graphics & Engineering Lab led by Nobuyuki Umetani at the University of Tokyo. He received the SIGGRAPH Asia 2022 Best Technical Paper Award for his work on "Constant Time Median Filter using 2D Wavelet Matrix". He was a world finalist in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest 2018 (ACM-ICPC). Apart from his academic pursuits, Yuji also specializes in creating motion graphics videos using Adobe After Effects. He leverages this experience to conduct research on optimizing the performance of effects filters commonly employed in video production.
