Biography
Copper F. Giloth is an artist and Professor Emerita in the Art Department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her work has been exhibited in the USA, Japan, Canada, and across Europe. Her current research includes a VR recreation of a destroyed 17th century labyrinth at Versailles . She chaired the 1982 and 1983 SIGGRAPH Art Shows, the 1992 Special Projects Committee, served on numerous SIGGRAPH Art and Electronic Theatre juries, and on the Digital Arts Committee from 2009-2015. She received the ACM SIGGRAPH Outstanding Service Award in 2000 and is currently the Chair of the SIGGRAPH Distinguished Artist Award Committee.

"Skippy Peanut Butter Jars" is an autobiographical story about how I program a computer to inspect my life. In the narrative I discuss and process my childhood beliefs that art is only important when it is old and includes naked female bodies. (1980)
