As Pre-Production supervisor, Marco oversees delivery of pre-production elements to Shots, including Models, Lookdev, Layout, Creatures and Facial Models.

He most recently concluded pre-production supervision on Avatar: The Way of Water, having previously worked on Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin and The BFG, Alita: Battle Angel, Gemini Man, Game of Thrones: Season 8, and Avengers: Endgame. 
 
Marco joined Wētā FX as a Senior Modeller on The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, a role he continued on Peter Jackson’s King Kong. He then supervised the creation of the entire digital assets’ library for James Cameron’s Avatar.

In 2015, Marco won a Technical Achievement Academy Award for the creation of Barbershop, Wētā’s proprietary hair grooming system invaluable to the Planet of the Apes trilogy and Wētā’s current pipeline. He has also received three Visual Effects Society award nominations, most recently this year for Wētā’s new facial system APFS used for Avatar: The Way of Water.

Since 2020 Marco is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
