Star Trek Through the Ages: "The Roddenberry Archive"- Achieving Interoperability in the Metaverse
DescriptionOTOY presents a technical deep dive into "The Roddenberry Archive": a multi-decade project to preserve the complete visual history of Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry's creative works through emerging interactive holographic, spatial and 3D media formats. The presentation will cover key open standards being used today, such as glTF, WebXR, the HTML tag and Immersive Technologies Media Format (ITMF) and how the team is working to further ensure long term interoperability and portability of the archive's materials for decades to come.
