About the Role:
Mass Virtual is looking for a Senior Product Designer who is passionate about creating innovative and visually appealing virtual reality-based training solutions. Candidates must have proven professional experience in video games, serious games, simulations, and virtual reality.
What you will be doing:
-User Research: Conducting user research to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors, and using insights gained to inform the design process
-Concept Development: Creating conceptual designs and product ideas based on user research, business requirements, and market trends
-Sketching and Wireframing: Creating sketches, wireframes, and low-fidelity prototypes to visualize design ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders
-User Interface (UI) Design: Designing visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, including layout, typography, color schemes, and visual elements
-Interaction Design: Designing interactions, animations, and micro-interactions to enhance the overall user experience of the product
-Prototyping and Testing: Creating high-fidelity prototypes and conducting usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
-Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, and Engineers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions
-Design Systems: Developing and maintaining design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency and coherence across different products and platforms
-Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in product design
-Documentation: Creating design documentation, including specifications, guidelines, and other relevant documentation to facilitate the development and maintenance of the product
-Leading and mentoring our Product Team, providing guidance and support as needed
What you need to succeed:
-Strong experience working with video games, simulation, serious games, and virtual reality
-Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, including user research, conceptualization, UI/UX design, and prototyping
-Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant design software
-Knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, ad visual hierarchy
-Familiarity with user-centered design (UCD) methodologies and usability principles
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
-Experience leading and managing a team, while ensuring projects are delivered on time
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Attention to detail and a passion for creating user experiences
-Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
