About the Role:
Mass Virtual has an immediate opening for a Sr Systems Administrator to assist and lead in day-to-day IT operations. The successful candidate will be a vital part of the IT support team. They should excel at thriving in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have advanced knowledge of IT principles such as networking, backups, server maintenance, hardware, and domain infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing:
-Solving advanced user issues (tier 3 support)
-Build and maintain corporate workstations/laptops/servers
-Configuration and Project Management
-Analyzing system performance and recommend improvement actions
-Lead analysis of server and storage environment and work to create proactive changes in support of KPIs
-Work and Mentor others in the team to ensure a tightly integrated and functional team
-Create GPO’s and manage Active Directory ensuring a secure environment
-Assist the IT Director with researching and implementing new hardware/software solutions
What you need to succeed:
-5-10 years of IT experience
-In depth knowledge and experience with VMware products
-Experience administrating servers in a mixed environment (Windows/Linux)
-Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
-Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Great to have:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
-Mid - Sr level industry certifications (IE. MCSE, CCNA, CISSP)
-Experience and certification in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
-Familiarity with industry security standards (NIST/GDPR)
