PCBend: Light Up Your 3D Shapes With Foldable Circuit Boards
SessionFabulous Fabrication: From Knitting to Circuits
DescriptionWe propose a computational design approach for covering a 3D surface with individually addressable RGB LEDs. Our system outputs fabrication-ready PCBs, made foldable through kerfing patterns. Once folded onto a 3D printed core, the board forms a low-resolution surface display. Lighting effects are easily designed through a shader-like interface.
