Motion From Shape Change
SessionMost Def: Fast, Large and Learned Deformables
DescriptionWe consider motion effected by changing shapes in a variety of media (inviscid/viscid fluids and vacuum). Using geometric arguments, we show that the motion is described by a first order ODE and demonstrate it on jellyfish, stingrays, snakes, astronauts, platform divers, and falling cats.
