Peter Segal
Biography
Pete's been in CG since the dark ages (1979) in the graphics lab at RPI. He's worked in many CG fields at IBM Research, AT&T Bell Labs, AT&T Pixel Machines, Spotlight Graphics, Bentley Systems, Luxology and Foundry. He spent his early career developing low-level graphics, and then advanced to photorealistic rendering. At Pixel Machines he introducing the first comercial ray tracing library in 1987, and demonstrated the first interactive ray tracer at SIGGRAPH'88. From then on Pete has spent the remainder of his career helping to bring photorealistic rendering to the masses.
